no init after safeguard 6.01 installation on HP 820 G3 models

Hello !

First, sorry for my bad english :-)

I have some issue with this model of laptop : HP 820 G.

After the Safeguard 6.01 installation, i have a no init message.

What i did :

- up the video size to 128 mb instead the 32 mb

- deactivate the TPM option

I am trying to staging a windows 7 by SCCM 2012. Without the package Safeguard, the laptop works perfectly. I have no option for  AHCI/IDE/RAID in the bios settings (grrr).

You are my last hope ! :)

Thank you very much fior your help and have a nice day !

Franck

    Hey Franck,

    Hope you're doing well!

Before doing anything I would strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of SafeGuard, or atleast version 7, as 6.0 is now quite old so can't compensate for all the new updates your machine may have received since the product was installed (BIOS updates, Windows Updates etc).
I would also make sure you're installing with the latest POACFG file as that will make sure that any required settings are applied to your machine as necessary during installation https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/65700.
Lastly, although the 840 model works fine, the 820 does also contain a skylake CPU which is known to cause issues on anything below Windows 10.
Personally I would recommend just going straight to SafeGuard 8 on Windows 10 Pro for the best support, but this would be the solution if all else fails as above.
