Sandy Bridge?

Has anyone tried SGN/SGE v5.50.8.13 on any Sandy Bridge laptops (specifically, Lenovo Thinkpad L/T 420/520, or Dell Latitude Exx20 machines)?

We're planning on buying new laptops here in a few days, and wanted to know if anyone has experienced any issues.

    Hi ssij,

5.50 is long out of support, if you login to your MySophos account you should find a download for version 7.0.2 that includes all the latest support, including support for Windows 10.

To answer your query any Sandy Bridge (now called ARK I believe) machine should be fine if they're a decent corporate specification, my recommendation would be to ensure the machine has a TPM chip (it just makes your life easier with the encryption).

We have seen a few issues with the Dell Latitudes in the series of 3*50, E5*50, E7*50 but I don't believe this is related to the Sandy Bridge / ARK setup.

    I hope this helps.
