Safeguard Easy Windows 8 POA

Hi there,

Is there no Sophos POA for Windows 8? Does it just use Bitlocker and a PIN/Startup key?

One issue I have is if a user enters their PIN wrong multiple times they have no idea how long they can wait to re enter the correct pin. (The TPM lockout process)

Does Sophos provide anything so the user has an idea when the TPM is unlocked and they can reenter their password?

Thanks

Dave

    Hi,

Windows 8/8.1/10 or any BitLocker protected device won't have SafeGuard POA, just the BitLocker PIN/Password/Startup key/TPM for booting up.

If the user presses Esc they can go into recovery and should be able to enter their recovery key to boot the machine that way instead.
You should then be able to reset the TPM lockout from TPM.msc.
