Windows 10 Pro, SafeGuard 8.00.0.251, and TPM

If TPM in enabled after SGN is installed and encrypted the disk, how is the "double logon" issue mitigated?

Machine still prompts for "BitLocker" password at boot and Windows logon password to gain access to the OS?

Thanks in advance,

Jim Collier

    Hi Jim,

    They're two completely unrelated passwords.

The BitLocker PIN/Password at bootup unlocks the drive and allows the OS to boot.

The Password at Windows is your logon to the OS and networking services.

In some instances you can disable the need for pre-boot authentication, like only requiring a TPM in the machine, but it's best to always request a PIN/Password too.
