Has anyone pushed out the encryption MSIs using Microsoft GPOs?

I am trying to push out the SafeGuard MSI files using GPOs. I have configured the policies I want and tried linking them to specific OUs or our entire domain and MSIs will not install. I do not see any significant errors in the logs either. I modified my PreInstall GPO and replaced the SafeGuard file with a MSI to install 7zip and it works like a champ. I do not understand why the SafeGuard MSIs do not install. Has anyone else tried GPOs and had similar issues?

    Hi Jim,

It's worth noting that within central software distribution, the installation and configuration packages can only be assigned to an endpoint, they cannot be assigned to a user.
    • Use a separate group policy object (GPO) for each installation package and sort them in the following order:
      1. pre-installation package
      2. encryption software package
      3. endpoint configuration package

For further information on the packages, see Prepare the installation script.

    • When the endpoint language is not set to German, additionally do the following: in the Group Policy Editor, select the respective group object and then Computer Configuration > Software Settings> Advanced. In the Advanced Deployment Options dialog, select Ignore language when deploying this package and click OK.
