Smartcards/Tokens POA and Windows 8-10

We want to use smartcards or tokens for POA. In the user documentation stands that it don't work with Windows 8. Is this wrong? We wont to use it with Windows 7-10. Are there any other issues with POA?

It appears to be accurate because in Windows 8.1 and 10 Sophos controls bitlocker instead of using their own encryption. Itts a hug loss in functionality.
