SOPHOS Safeguard 6.0 won't let me use 3 monitors.

Hello,

When I set my BIOS to disable the onboard graphics card and use the external video card, all is well. The boot sequence on my Dell Optiplex 990, causes Sophos Safeguard 6.0 to load, followed by Windows 7.

However to support more monitors, if I set my BIOS to enable both the onboard graphics card and the external video card simultaneously, all is not well.  Sophos seems to go into a never ending "load loop" and never starts Windows 7.

My video card is an AMD Ratheon 6350.  My onboard graphic card supports 2 monitors, one on VGA and the other on DisplayPort.

Thank you for your assistance!

  • Hi,

because of a change in the SafeGuard POA regarding the handling of graphical adapters, it´s worth to try SGN 7.0 on that hardware. If that does not do the trick, Shift+F4 could be tested in addition (one of the POA hotkeys described in KBA107781)

    Cheers
