Safeguard prevents hibernation mode

Hi,

I am using Sophos Safeguard version 7.00.2.23.

Since this was installed, I haven't been able to use the hibernate mode on my laptop. Whenever I put it in hibernate mode, it restarts to come back to the Sophos login screen after 5 minutes or so. My battery ends up completely drained and I lose any work that I had purposely left opened.

How do I fix that?

    Hi Laurence,

    That's strange, you shouldn't be seeing any issues with hibernation, we use it on our Windows 7 machines here running SGN7.
    There are the odd occassions when Hibernation doesn't like going through the SafeGuard process, and a simple turn off and back on again for Hibernation resolves the issue, please give this a go in an elevated command prompt:

    Powercfg –h off

    Powercfg –h on

    If that doesn't work can you confirm your full operating system version (ie: Windows 7 Pro SP1)
