Installaing Sophos Safeguard server

Hi

I am trying to install SafeGuard server and running into a lot of difficulties.

At the end of the installation it performs a rollback and fails to installs. Is there a log file i can check to see why it is failing?

Management Console installs correctly but obviously i cant install the configuration without the server.

Any help is appreciated

Hello Anand,

Are you following the installation guide and the rest of the documentation here: https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/documentation/safeguard-enterprise.aspx

Is there an error when it fails to install? Have you checked the Windows Application Event Logs?

Install the file like this: msiexec /i "C:\SafeGuard_File.msi" /L*VX "C:\log.log" (where C:\SafeGuard_File.msi is the file you're installing)

Then open C:\log.log and you should see what's causing the error.

Hi Toby,

Sorry had another project to complete

I was working with Sophos support who advised they are dealing with the product team and may suspect that it is a version issue.

I ran the command with the debug but it didnt mean anytihng to me right at the moment
