Is it possible to bypass the Safeguard 7 driver at boot up?

I am using CommVault to do laptop backups.  My company wants to be able to do bare metal restores of laptops for home users who aren't able to easily get their laptops re-imaged if Windows becomes corrupted.  From a CommVault perspective I am able to restore the data in an unencrypted format but then Windows gets stuck in a reboot loop because of the Sophos drivers.  I am wondering if it is possible to bypass the driver or if there is another method Sophos users use for machine recovery.

    Hi Jason,

It's not possible to bypass the driver at BootUp without authorisation, even Sophos don't have any backdoors into the system.

Probably the best solution for you guys would be to use the Secure WOL feature to access the machines automatically during a set time: https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/108335.aspx

Other than this, depending on the type of encryption, there are lots of recovery methods depending on the encryption type, such as local BitLocker recovery, booting into the machine at low level with a modified version of WinPE, challenge / response or slaving the drive to recover data.
