LAN Crypt transparent encryption doesn't work

the situation: the client is windows 7 pro based, the connection to the server is fine and all rules are synchronised. the logo in the tray shows green so the transparent encryption should be activated.

The network devices are showing a grey key with the status “Die Datei ist nicht verschlüsselt, sollte es laut Profil jedoch sein“ [the file is not encrypted as it should be by profile]

I already finished the initial encryption but without success.

If I copy a file into a folder on such an network device than nothing happens. The manual encryption by right-clicking works well.

Somebody out there has an idea what I did wrong?

Thanks for your support in advance

    Hi Heiko,

Resolving the path could be an issue - in this case we would need to know what the encryption rule is, exactly as defined in the SafeGuard Lan Crypt Admin screen (screenshots from encryption rules would help greatly).
How have you mapped the rule to the client (again, any screenshots would really help).
Please also see release notes (for example for Domain rules and how they should be mapped):

How did you map the drive on the client? Was it using \\servername\share or via the IP address?
