SGM401 while creating a VM with parallels

Hello,

I've got a pc running windows 8 with safeguard installed. I've got a macbook (private one this one) as well. being on the move all week, two computer is one too much.

I wanted to create a VM of the PC on my macbook pro using parallels 11 (i had successfully done it with a former PC, which wasn't running safeguard)

after creating a .pvm file with parallels transporter, i encounter a SGM401 kernel error system halted when starting the VM on the mac.

Could anyone explain me the solution ? I've been reading articles about that error, but nothing which really helps with the situation at hand.

Thanks for your help

    Hi Olivier,

    Unfortunately this isn't supported.

Regarding fixing this issue if you have a backup of the SafeGuard kernel you can reset the MBR, restore the SafeGuard Easy kernel and start the emergency uninstall process to decrypt the hard drive.

If the above works you can connect the hard drive to another Mac that does not have any encryption software installed and recover the data.
