Console Crashes when trying to create a managed client package

We are trialing the software, and when I try to create a managed configuration package the console crashes.  I see two events when this happens:

Event ID: - 1000

We are running v 7.00.0.97 of the SafeGuard Management Center, on a Windows Server 2012 R2 VM.
