Please clarify the procedure for upgrading Safeguard for Mac 7.0 to 7.02 prior to upgrading from Yosemite to El Capitain on the Mac.

I have successfully installed 7.02 on a fresh El Capitain Mac and it works fine.  But what if you have a Yosemite with 7.00 Safeguard.  Do you just run the full install for 7.02 on top of 7.00 ?  Or is there some hidden service pack that upgrades the 7.0 install to 7.02?

    Hi there,

If you are already using SafeGuard version 7.0.0 on a system currently running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) or a previous OS X version, an OS upgrade to OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) will remove important parts of the SafeGuard Clients which for example prevents access to encrypted files. We therefore highly recommend upgrading the SafeGuard File Encryption and Disk Encryption clients to version 7.0.2 before upgrading the OS. This Service Release is available as a separate download in the download area of Sophos.com (in your MySophos account).

If you´re upgrading the SafeGuard client(s) after the OS upgrade, there will be up to three username/password prompts after the installation. An unattended upgrade is therefore not possible.

    New installations

7.0.2 will go straight onto El Capitan and SafeGuard Enterprise  8.0 will support OS X 10.11 out of the box.

I hope this helps but let me know if it's still unclear.
