We have updated our Sophos server to 7.00 version about 1½ months ago. Most of clients are still 5.60 - 6.10 version. (I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my current problem but good to know anyway.)
Something very odd happened last Friday - during weekend. It seems that all our machines lost User-Machine assignment and went to autologon mode. If these machines had usb-drive attached, the Drive kept asking for Enter Media Passphrase also. SGN user state was pending in all affected computers.
Couple of reboots fixed the issue on each computer, but my question is, how is this even possible? Also current situation is that we have lost about 500 machines from management console. I'm not sure if these are the computers still having this issue, but I'm hoping this to get better.
We have had this once before, that was when AD schema was changed, but this time there has been no such changes. We have not changed any policies or other settings. Can I even find reason for this or is there anything I can do now after this to make sure this doesn't happen again? Can this be caused by accident e.g. SO has done something he shouldn't have and how to find out that?
Please send any suggestions, I'm happy to try almost anything..
