Forgot password to safeguard easy 4.50 on my laptop HELP!!!

Hi,

My wife forgot pw on her laptop for safeguard easy 4.50. I'm not so serious about recovering data, I just wish to reformat the PC and start fresh. What can I do to format encrypted hdd since normal way won't work?

Hi xcaldk74,
fastest way would be to re-write the Master Boot Record of the machine (please see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/69013 for details) and proceed with a Windows XP installation media to refresh your OS.
