SafeGuard 6.01 Mac w/ 10.8.2

I tried installing the trial version of 6.01 on Mac Os X 10.8.2, and got a vague installer error:

1/2/13 9:25:38.458 AM Installer[416]: The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

Is there any way to trouble shoot this?

Hardware: 17" Early 2011 Macbook Pro, 2.3 GHZ core i7, 750 GB hd, 8 GB ram

Software: Mac Os X 10.8.2

Partitioning: 750 GB HD partitioned into recovery, Mac OS X (691 GB total, 140 GB free), Bootcamp (58 GB total)
