Issue with Windows Auto Logon and Sophos

We are in process of developing and unit testing of new Windows 7 - 64bit image and I am requesting your help for one issue which we think could be related to Sophos.

We are getting an issue specific to  “Format C Only” images. Following is the Scenario and problem description.

Scenario Summary :-

1. Laptop is built with Win 7 64 bit . This has Sophos 6 installed as part of image and Sophos is fully synchronized with both partitions encrypted.
2. Then we are trying to apply Win 7 64 bit Format C Only to this laptop. Purpose of this image is to just format C Drive retaining D Drive content.
3. We have the same Sophos 6 package for the both the images.

Problem Description:-

Once the Win 7 64 bit  Format C Only Imaging Process completes, laptop should ideally autologon into windows as we have a blank password for Administrator  (This is a typical windows behavior) to continue with multiple reboots till user finishes  personalization process(This includes Domain join etc).
Note- The term “autologon” here means the windows logon without entering any credentials at ALT+CTRL+DEL screen. I am not referring to Sophos POA auto logon.

What is happening with Format C only Image is that this autologon is not happening and once the imaging process completes,  laptop goes to ALT+CTRL+DEL screen. When we try to login by Administrator credentials manually,  we do get a Sophos prompt to change the password.. At this time, machine is still part of workgroup. This obviously breaks the imaging process where we are not able to complete laptop  personalization.

I amwondering if this could be related to any specific Sophos policies.

Could you please  help us to track down the possible causes for this issue. Thank you very much !
