Reformatting encryoted drive? (Erasing mbr does not work)

Hi all. I am really desperate. Some time ago I got a laptop decomissioned by my company. It had safeguard easy installed on it. Of course the problems started when i tried to reinstall the operating system. Windows installers cannot access the device. I went through all the online sources and learned that wiping the MBR and repartitioning should help. I did that and it did not work. Windows installer still cannot access the device properly. So please tell me, is there any way to actually reformat the drive or the only option i have is replacing it?
