Full Disk Encryption Not Working - Files existing and Created Not Encrypted

Hello All,

I am quite new to safeguard enterprise though i have been able to install following documentations and all. Now i have created a policy for the full disk encryption, set-up configuration package for standalone device since this is still in my test environment that i am trying this out before i head out for POC at a customer's site.

Installed all the packages required and the icon for the Sophos Client standalone is visible, and when login in to the Windows 8 pro  device, i authenticate first via Bitlocker, then the POA, and the full disk encryption completed. But on checking the properties of the files on the Windows 8 device it shows not encrypted under the state. Even new files created does not get encrypted.

What could be the issue?

I would appreciate if anybody can help out on this.

Thanking you inadvance.

  • Hello Guys,

Guess this is not a common issue bearing in mind i have not gotten any feedback with couple of views on the question.

While trying to sort this out what i did is configure a Workgroup on the Sophos Enterprise Management Center, configured some policies to this workgroup and generate a configuration package for this Workgroup.

But the PC which i installed the configuration package keeps giving this error, Sophos server cannot be contacted while i can ping the Management Server from the test workstation

What could be the possible reasons why a PC would not be able to contact or reach the management server.

Pointer to this would greatly help

    Help! Help!! Help!!! guys

    Thanks Inadvance.
