Sophos Encryption Laptop cant Perform Recovery

 I have a user who un domained his machine and then changed his PC name. After the user was forced to log off for the settings to take effect we are stuck at the windows login page.  I am unable to get back to the initial Sophos encryption login screen. I am stuck at the windows login screen. The previous user of the laptop set himself up as administrator and is no longer with the company. How can I get back to the main Sophos login to perform a recovery?

    Hi,

    Powering the machine off and back on should present you with the POA, but if the machine has been disjoined from the domain and you don't have a local machine account you won't be able to log in. You may find your only option is to remove the hard drive, slave it to another machine, recover any required data and then reimage the machine.
