Need help. Formatted an encrypted USB thumb drive, now user can't access it.

So, this is what I did.

Installed the client that includes removable media - Check

Placed laptop in the "removable media encryption" group. - Check

Now, the user is all set. We plugged in a thumb drive. It asked for a passphrase and so she set a passphrase. All good so far.

She forgot said passphrase in the space of five minutes so couldn't decrypt the files. Do I take it back to her laptop and set the password again? No. Being rushed and obviously not thinking, I formatted it.

Now, every time we plug it into her laptop, it's using the key to encrypt it that she doesn't remember the passphrase to and I deleted the SGNKeytable.ktb file when I formatted it.

Question: How do I start back at the beginning like a fresh new try and a new key? (Well, without uninstalling and reinstalling Sophos!)

Thanks!

Lance
