SGN 6.0 - Partition lost after installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Hello,

we are experiencing problems when installing Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 with Safeguard installed.

After the reboot sometimes the second partition "gets lost". We are not able to recover it. The System Partition containing all the system files, but not the user profile, is running fine.

Anyone also experienced this behavior ?

    To be quite honest. I have always uninstalled Sophos when I run or install something critical such as this. Sounds as if the boot record is modified which can cause paritions to still exsist but cannot be seen. have you checked the computer managment console to see if it is just being kicked to being inactive or offline? 

    Best Practice as I have mentioned in the beginning is just to remove Sophos before doing things such as this. I have seen issues such as this but mostly with windows Updates, which this is similar.
