Not able to uninstall - insufficient privileges

I have completed my trial of the SafeGuard Enterprise, and per the documentation this is how you uninstall -

Once you have completed your evaluation you will want to move to a full version of the SafeGuard encryption solution. To do this you may simply choose to re-image your test machine, or first uninstall the software. To remove the software simply open add / remove programs and remove the ‘‘‘‘‘‘‘‘Sophos SafeGuard 5.50 client configuration’’’’’’’’ and then remove the ‘‘‘‘‘‘‘‘Sophos SafeGuard 5.50 Client’’’’’’’’. When you remove the client you will see the drive begin to decrypt. It is recommended that you uninstall both packages at the same time and allow the drive to finish decrypting before rebooting.

I was able to remove the client configuration with no probelms - but when I try to remove the Client itself I get errors about not having sufficient privileges.  This is a Windows Vista Business SP2 x86 laptop on a domain.  My user ID I run as is not a local admin - I tried elevating with my admin ID and that was not successful.  I elevated my user ID to an admin thinking it might be tied to the certificate that matches my logon, and had the same error.
