Safeguard on standalone laptops

We use Safeguard deployed from network shares to domain laptops, managed centrally by Safeguard Management Centre.

Now we have a requirement to encrypt standalone (non-domain) laptops.  What's the way to handle this?

Thanks

  • Hi MrCrisps,

in the SGN Management Center you can create so called "stand-alone" client configuration packages.

You can assign a policy group to  such a package to configure the client as desired and therefor no direct communication between the client and the server is required.

What you have to consider though is, that the keybackup which is created on the client should be stored in a central place to have it available for recovery purposes.

    Cheers
