We're having a problem with remote users working off a laptop and connecting to a VMware View virtual workstation. This is using Safeguard Enterprise 6.00.1. Here is the scenario:
The user has an internet connection somewhere remote and connects from a Safegard-protected, domain-joined laptop to a VMware View gateway. They login using domain credentials and work on the VM workstation. At some point they mess up typing in their password and are locked out. Some time later apparently, the Sophos client synchronizes. When the user reboots, the PoA has them disabled, and when helpdesk gets them through PoA with challenge/response, they can't get through Windows authentication either because locally cached Windows account has also been locked out. Now the user has no domain-connected link to unlock the Windows account and has to mail the laptop into the business. What is the solution to this? (And "get the user to not mess up their password" had already been thought of. As an support person can tell you this isn't a workable answer.)
