Sophos Safeguard witih Enterprise Console

We have recently upgraded to the latest endpoint software with the safeguard encryption agent managed from the same console (the enterprise console) - with this solution how do you change the associated safeguard user? To reiterate we are not using the safeguard management centre.

  • You should be using the SafeGuard management console honestly.  How you change and add/remove users depends on how your policies are configured.  You need to set up the console so that appointed security staff or your helpdesk can change safeguard users associated with the laptops.  If you want users to be able to self-service you'l lneed to set up your policies appropriately, depends on your needs and policy deployment.  If you aren't set up for this sort of thing and need it to be set up this might be a pro-services arragement depending on size/complexity of existing environment would be a great way to go.  Where I work we did the normal enterprise 5 day pro-services agreement and Victor did a great job, and got us up and running quickly where I had similar questions and it would have taken a lot longer for just me to stumble my way through it.  Worth every USD spent.

  • This is the same problem I am running into, there is no option for a separate Safeguard managment console due to the fact that this is the version bundled with the Complete Security Suite and deployed using the Endpoint Enterprise Console.  Very limited policy set.  

    Working with Sophos support on this and will post a reply if I get resolution other than uninstall and redeploy.
