SEC Encryption 5.6.1 Level...

Hello,

Does anyone know the Algorithm and level of encryption that 5.6.1 uses in the Sophoes Enterprise Console version? I've been looking for information on this and haven't come across anything solid yet.

Thanks,

  • Hello WTulaba,

AFAIK the SafeGuard products are identical in terms of encryption and SDE (the SEC version) is no exception.

  • Can you tell what that is and is there a location to verify this or get a screenshot of them?
The reason being we get asked for a screenshot of the encryption level during audits on a bi-yearly basis.

    Thank you,

  • Hello Wil,

sorry for the - as I see now - not really helpful reply. As far as I can see there's (not really surprising) only general information available. The only thing I've found is SGNState.exe (in ...\Sophos\SafeGuard Enterprise\Client\) which is probably not all you need.

As SafeGuard is FIPS certified Sophos should be able to tell you how to satisfy auditors :smileywink: and I suggest you contact Support directly.
