Can't uninstall Lan Crypt Client on Citrix Server

I am having an issue trying to uninstall the Lan Crypt Client on a Server 2008R2 Xenapp 6.5 server.  The issue is that the person who set up this server install the non-TS client version before installing RDS services/Citrix, now when I try to uninstall I get the error: "You can't install SafeGuard® LAN Crypt Client 3.71.64 on a Terminal Server. Please use the Terminal Server version."

I have tried using revo and other uninstallers to uninstall the software, as well as "msiexec /x {}", but it won't budge.  I'm not sure what to do at this point since this is a live Citrix server and I can't remove RDS roles.  Lancrypt is not needed on this server anymore and is causing blue screens, so I need to figure something out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

  • Without temporarily removing the RDS services/Citrix? All I can think of is modifying the installler to skip the OS check (orca?).

  • Unfortunatelly the installed SafeGuard LAN Crypt client does not terminal servers. And the related installation protection will used at the installation and the uninstall process as well. If you need to remove the client software - please contact our support and ask for our Professional Services team which should be able to deal with this issue.
