The SSL Certificate for this SGN Server could not be verified

I'm working on my first production Mac belonging to a user and am setting up encryption.  I already installed the ssl certificate onto the mac connecting to the server and can browse to the web page without a warning prompt.

Now I'm getting the above error saying that https://server.domain.local/SGNSRV/trans.asmx cannot be verified.

Yet it can on my test Mac just fine.

I can't encrypt the Mac without getting past this stop.

Suggestions?

  • Hi Ranier:

Our SafeGuard Environment was reviewed by Sophos Consulting and met with their approval.  The issue was not the SafeGuard environment, the issue was with the MacBookPro.  I ultimately had to wipe it and reinstall Yosemite.  Once clean and reinstalled, the client communicated just fine with the server and encryption commenced.  So, the problem was not solved, just erased.
