Sophos SafeGuard Uninstaller.pkg

Question

I have not encrypted the drive on a user's mac yet, because it can't talk to the safeguard server (even though the other macs and windows machines can).

I want to uninstall the software. When I google how, I get this article which is only a few weeks old:

which states, "Use the uninstaller package 'Sophos SafeGuard Uninstaller.pkg' in /Library/Sophos SafeGuard."

That's it. Really?

Then I have to figure out how to get to Library. I google that and then I unhide the library folder in the two home directories on the machine. There is no Sophos SafeGuard folder in them.

Can someone please provide better instructions?

Ahoi,

You will find the library folder below the root.

You can expand the local system drive (click twice)

After that you will see 4 folders: Applications, Library, System and Users.

Please open the folder Library and navigate to the Sophos installations folders for File Encryption or Disk encryption.

Expand the folder and you can now run the uninstall pkg file to remove the software.
