SAFEGUARD Logfile.sgt

Hello

I have an old installation of safeguard (ver 8.00.2.16) that I inherited.

I have the file C:\ProgramData\Utimaco\SafeGuard Enterprise\logfile.sgt that has become too big.

I deleted it but in a few minutes it has reached 20MBs of size.

How can I understand what is filling the log so quickly and block it?

Thank you

Giu

  • Hello Giu,

Thank you for reaching us; I see that the cause of your Utimaco log folder's continuous feed was that the trace level was still On. You may turn off the trace level of your Device by navigating to the below steps.

    1. Open Registry Editor and back up the registry.
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Utimaco\SGMTrace.
    3. Set MinimumTraceLevel to 1.
    4. Restart the computer.

0 is the maximum, while 1 will set the trace level back to normal.
