Possible Installation of Safeguard Management Center

So I've run into an issue with a legacy installation of Sophos Enterprise Console and Safeguard Management Center. Apparently in days past these had worked together on the same SQL Server, presumably because of their previous versions. Now that the Sophos Enterprise Console has been brought to 5.2.2. and the Safeguard Management Center has been brought to 6.1, is it still possible to keep them on the same SQL Server? I know that best practice states that they should be separated into different servers, but I want to consider all options before requesting additional resources.

It is not possible for Safeguard and SEC to co-exist on the same server. If you already installed SEC incl. integrated encryption, the installation of SafeGuard Enterprise Management Center / Server / Web Helpdesk will be aborted. In theory if you run SEC without encryption you can possibly get it to work, but neither product will be supported until they are installed on separate servers.

Best thing to do is just install them on separate servers or VM's.
