Greens keys won't show. SafeGuard Sophos 8.0

Dears,

the PC Laptop has been encrypted, but the green key or the other color are not displayed on the icons, although I have to reinstall the encryption of the files, although the file appears encrypted, i just deleted the certificate and it is automatically regenerated after disconnection, but still no green, yellow or red key on the icons.
For the profile, we have already installed SafeGuard Sophos on another desktop computer with the same session and it worked normally, there is no  solution ?

Windows 10 pro  64 Bits

Sophos SafeGuard 8.0.0

thanks.

  • There's two things here - PC Laptop has been encrypted I'm guessing means it's using FDE (Full Disk Encryption) - as in BitLocker (as you're using W10 Pro) This is not the same as file encryption.

This is a separate policy and the drive being encrypted (or not encrypted) has no bearing on this. You'll need to check if the policy applied to both PC's is the same - I would suspect not. You can use the RSOP tab within  the console to see what policy/settings are applied to each PC and compare.

The File Encryption will over-lay keys onto icons - so it's this policy (or lack of it) that you need to address, not the FDE policy (BitLocker)
