DDNS - ZoneEdit

I've switched over from the USG to the XG firewall, and one of the remaining issues I've ran into has been with DDNS.  I used ZoneEdit for DDNS and is one of the options when setting up DDNS.  However, when I setup the DDNS, it always gives a failure of "Unknown Error".  I have it pretty much setup as it was on the USG, which was working fine.

For DDNS setup, I tried the following steps:

  • Network -> Dynamic DNS -> Add
  • Hostname:  FQDN (example:  ddns.test.com)
  • Interface:  Port 3 - xx.xx.xx.xx
  • IPv4 Address: Use Port IP
  • Service Provider:  ZoneEdit
  • Login Name: <zoneedit username>
  • Password:  <zoneedit password>

I've also tried setting it up using "NATed Public IP" rather than the "Use Port IP", and neither work.

On the Dynamic DNS page, I simply see the following notifications:

  • Last Update Status:  Failed
  • Failure Reason:  Unknown Error

When I check the Logs and look under SYSTEM, I see basically the same error:

DDNS Update for host <ddns.test.com> was Failed.  Last Updated with IP: 0.0.0.0.  Failure Reason: Unknown Error

What am I missing in order to get ZoneEdit DDNS to work on the Sophos XG?

Thanks for any help!
