Is there somewhere in the gui, cli, or documentation I can find a current list of which countries or ip space are included in the XG Europe "country" selection for firewall rules? I do see the Europe Continent country group country breakdown under system >> hosts & services >> country group. Thanks
Had this conversation before. As far as i know, we are using some kind of GEOip services, which sometimes cannot specify, that IP A belongs to Country Germany or Netherlands, so they are getting grouped together behind EU from this GeoIP service. There are plenty big ISPs, which moves IPs between countries quite frequently.
Is it safe to conclude the 'Europe' "country" classification in XG covers the following 28 EU members as defined by https://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/countries_en ? Austria Italy Belgium Latvia Bulgaria Lithuania Croatia Luxembourg Cyprus Malta Czechia Netherlands Denmark Poland Estonia Portugal Finland Romania France Slovakia Germany Slovenia Greece Spain Hungary Sweden Ireland United Kingdom
And for reference this is the 'Europe Continent' list pulled from the xg hosts & services >> country group gui: AndorraAlbaniaAustriaAland IslandsBosnia and HerzegovinaBelgiumBulgariaBelarusSwitzerlandCzech RepublicGermanyDenmarkEstoniaSpainFinlandFaroe IslandsFranceUnited KingdomGuernseyGibraltarGreeceCroatiaHungaryIrelandIsle of ManIcelandItalyJerseyLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgLatviaMonacoMoldovaMontenegroMacedoniaMaltaNetherlandsNorwayPolandPortugalRomaniaSerbiaRussian FederationSwedenSloveniaSvalbard and Jan MayenSlovakiaSan MarinoUkraineHoly See (Vatican City State)
Its basically the database, which XG pulls.
If a IP is not specified, it will get into EU.
EU is not a Country, basically a fallback, if a IP belongs to one big ISP and is associated to multiple Countries.
