Just wondering if anyone has made the jump to EAP3 and how that was going for them. Does packet capture work now?

Hello Stuart,
I'm glad you agree with me that this feature needs to be improved. It provides an unprecedented amount of up-to-date information in XG, but its current use is very tedious.
Thanks again

Updated directly under Firmware as i got an email from my xg :-)
*ALERT* Sophos XG Firewall - New firmware ready for installation
Worked absolutly fine and pretty fast. Memory Usage also dropped to nicely 52% of 4GB
So far everything works fine.
Could think the performance has even improved a bit, maybe just the myth of the update :D
Had problems with the page build-up of the user portal before, that works pretty well now...

Hi
Got scrambled page and then tried to copy and paste on download manager to download the firmware.
Try a different browser
Got it!! And installed perfectly. Looking bit fast as compared to the previous EAP.
Still need to to fix NC-50521, I was waiting for this from long time. May be it will be fix in next release :(
The upgrade installed, but never went online, one restart, same issue lots of errors n the console. Removed and restored the power and the upgrade proceeded smoothly. Now for more testing.

Page loads are snappier, both GUI and web browser.

Well. Outlook was terribly slow to open since v18 debut. But now, with EAP3 and DPI enabled, WEB browsers have become painfully slow.
Disabled DPI again.

Hi
Any body come across with Firewall rule ID 0, After upgrading to ETA3 I got the new entry in my firewall rule ie. rule id 0. But it is kind of hidden or not editable rule.
Any idea this for what??
This firewall rule is the default deny rule. It already existed before as ID 0 and is present in almost every firewall as the bottom/last rule and therefore always applies when no other rule applies. If you see rule 0 in the logs, for example, you know immediately that your packet was dropped.
Cheers,
Leon
