TikTok Application Control

Question

Helo 
 I realy dont know how sophos still dont have an TikTok App Control. This app its terrible for productivity and bandwidth. 
 
 Can you please add TikTok to Application Control? 
 How can i block this app?

Hello Fabio, 
 We reached out to the application control team, and they mentioned that application signatures for TikTok are already present, however, they&rsquo;re present with their original name "Musical.ly" but due to a limitation, this wasn&rsquo;t renamed. 
 This limitation has been now resolved, and they&rsquo;re planning to make the name change down the road, for now, you can block musical.ly in the application filter to control Tiktok.

Application control alone will not stop this application because it also available on the web as urls as well. 
 With the setup I created above added to my security settings I was able to download and install the tiktok app from the Apple store, it was not able to connect to the tiktok servers. 
 When trying to connect using the web the site is blocked and the user is displayed a message.

HI Fabio, 
 I have created a hosts and services group which provides some blocking snd have added the new group to the general block rule I have at the top of my rule list. 
 
 I have also created a web category which I have added to my web profile to block objectionable sites. 
 
 The configuration is a bit of an overkill because there are a number of block points but the site is blocked.
