Wake On Lan

Hey,

I am trying to find a way to send the WOL packet to computers connected to my XGS116. I have a bunch of work stations Intel Nucs on VLAN100 and some servers etc on VLAN200.

I want to be able to turn them on remotely via WOL.

The issue is, I can't seem to do it from the GUI from the Sophos Central portal and in the forums here all the answers I found are like 12 years old and use the 'ether-wake' from the shell, which does not seem to be bundled anymore with the Sophos install on the device (18.5..... not sure which one specifically).

Anyways, how can I wake a computer from the firewall?

Am I missing it in the GUI?

Is there a new shell command when I SSH into the firewall?

Is it safe to just install 'etherwake' via apt-get on the firewall?

Side note: the only 1 computer that is always on is a server on VLAN200, but I can't get the WOL from that to broadcast across to VLAN100. So, if I can't do it from the firewall, is there a way to allow WOL broadcast from VLAN200 to VLAN100? (From my understand there isn't as its cross broadcast and gets auto blocked from the firewall and there is no 'rule' as such to allow this....)

Thanks!

PS: if it does not exist in the GUI, would be a cool feature to add..... similar to pfsense
