Sophos Mobile Control Migration to Sophos Central

Question

With the newest version just release of on premise Sophos Mobile Control 8.5. Since we will be migrating to Sophos Central here in the next month or so. Was wondering since we will be migrating to Sophos Central if there were any advantages of upgrading from 8.1.3 to 8.5. and then migrating? Or no real advantage and migrating from 8.1.3 is fine.

Hi Matt, 
 Within the file created by the on-premise server, the version information is included. Currently, the Sophos Central backend is on version 8.1.3. If you update the on-premise server to version 8.5, the export will work, but the import in Sophos Central won't. Therefore, you should do the migration while the on-premise server is still on version 8.1. Let me know if this helps resolve your query.
