We’ve just released a maintenance release for Sophos iView v2. This update contains fixes for a number of open issues.

Device reboots after the upgrade

 

Applicable iView versions

Following iView versions can upgrade to this iView maintenance release

  • SIV OS 02.00.00 (GA release – Build 092)
  • SIV OS 02.00.00 MR-1 (Build 306)

 Supported Device type and versions

  • Sophos Firewall OS: Sophos Firewall OS 15.01.0 and above
  • Sophos UTM 9: Sophos UTM 9.3 and above
  • CyberoamOS: CyberoamOS 10.6.1 MR-3 and above

 Security Enhancements

  • Version upgrades for Openssl, OpenSSH, Tomcat, and JRE for enhanced security.

 

Bug Fixes

 Applications

  • Blocked Allowable Domains widget on the Security Dashboard does not display records. (NCR-1618)
  • Mismatch in Blocked User App reports in XG Firewall and iView. (NCR-753)
  • Google Search report in Sophos UTM displays multiple records for single search. (NCR-1231)
  • Rule ID "0" displayed in Allowed Policies/Rules report in CyberoamOS devices. (NCR-749)
  • Web Server Domains displayed as NA in CyberoamOS devices. (NCR-1867)

 Network and Threat Reports

  • Severity-wise IPS Attacks report in XG Firewall and iView do not match. (NCR-597)
  • Destination-wise report under Accept or Deny rules does not display records when filtered. (NCR-1843)

 Email Protection

  • Records of SPX summary and Spam-receiving countries reports in XG Firewall and iView do not match. (NCR-981)

 Custom & Special Reports

  • Incorrect memory usage displayed in Executive Report. (NCR-468)
  • Records not generated when Custom User report is filtered based on Source Host. (NCR-1293)
  • Custom Web Server Report does not display the Domain column for WAF search results. (NCR-1624)
  • Custom View does not display the option of adding SSL VPN and Wireless Reports. (NCR-1248)

 Clientless Access & Remote Access Users

  • Clientless Access report displays incorrect records when filter is applied twice. (NCR-485)
  • Records not generated for Remote Access User after migration from CyberoamOS 10.6.2. (Build 461) to SF-OS 15.01.0 (Build 332) (NCR-993)

 Report Export

  • No records in Custom User Report when it is exported as PDF after applying an email address recipient filter. (NCR-1823)
  • Blocked Policies, Blocked Source Countries, Blocked Destination Countries and Device wise usage reports missing in PDF and Excel files that are exported after a report filter is applied to the Security Dashboard. (NCR-1275)
  • High Risk Application, High Risk Application Users and Host-High Risk Applications reports missing in PDF and Excel files that are exported after a report filter is applied to the App Risks & Usage. (NCR-1828)

 Report Scheduler

  • The scheduled report emails are delayed when the scheduled time for multiple reports is the same. (NCR-1550)

 System

  • Upgrading iView firmware resets the system date. (NCR-1158)
  • Unable to schedule reports when more than 35 devices are selected to view reports. (NCR-2085)
  • Records not displayed after clearing the Archive search. (NCR-1505)

Download Information

Sophos Up2Date technology makes it easy for you to upgrade your Sophos iView v2 to the latest version.

You can use two methods to apply the available Up2Date package to the system:

  • Method 1
    • Log in to your iView web interface.
    • Go to System > Maintenance > Firmware.
    • Click “Check for new Firmware” to download the latest firmware.
    • Once it is downloaded, click “Install” to begin the install. The system will reboot and the new firmware is installed.
    • You can roll back to the previous firmware version by clicking “Boot Firmware” against the non-active firmware. Any configuration changes made between the upgrade and roll back will be lost.
  • Method 2
    • Download the Up2Date package from MySophos.
    • Go to System > Maintenance> Firmware.
    • Select “Upload firmware” against the non-active firmware to upload the new firmware file and click “Upload & Boot”. The system will reboot and the new firmware is installed.
    • You can roll back to the previous firmware version by clicking “Boot Firmware” against the non-active firmware. Any configuration changes made between the upgrade and roll back will be lost.
