SSD als Systemfestplatte sinnvoll?

Hallo!

Ich bin gerade am überlegen, ob ich meine bisherige Festplatte meiner Firewall gegen eine SSD austauschen soll.

Was meint Ihr dazu? Ist es bei einer (Home) Firewall sinnvoll? 
Bringt es etwas an Geschwindigkeit in Verbindung mit dem Web Proxy? (Caching usw.)

Oder ist eine "normale" HDD hierfür völlig ausreicheind?

    Hallo Zusammen,

    bisher hatte ich nur eine Sophos VM, nun habe ich mir eine UTM110/120 zugelegt und bin entsetzt über die Geschwindigkeit des Webinterfaces und die Bootzeit.

    Ist es möglich dort einfach eine SSD einzubauen?

    Was muss gemacht werden, sobald die SSD eingebaut ist.

    Ist das System komplett auf der SSD installiert? Wenn ja, wie bekomme ich dann die Firmware auf die SSD?

    Erstmal herzlich willkommen hier in der Community !

    (Sorry, my German-speaking brain isn't creating thoughts at the moment. [:(])

    Five years ago, we were all on V8.3.  Even then, the 120's limitation to 2GB was a problem.  In this case, it's also the CPU that's underpowered for V9.5.  I think you should choose different hardware or go back to your VM instead of spending money on a 120.
