Automatic Known Issues List (KIL)

Hi everyone,

As usual, this thread contains an overview about the known issues with the current beta version:  [LIST=1]
  • a long post with full details to each and every known issues
  • a short post, that just lists the issues topic with the respective mantis id

This info will be automatically updated on a daily basis, so you can see new issues that have come up since the previous beta release, and the status of these issues.

    Hi everyone,

    Since we've got a lot of feedback regarding the new HTML5 VPN Portal lately, we've decided to add a short list of caveats to the KIL thread. It provides additional information which can be described as 'common problems' or 'common issues' (but not as 'bugs').


    HMTL5 VPN Portal Webapps (https):
    If your server supplies a self signed certificate, make sure that the CN of the cert match your destination network object. E.g. if you use a DNS Host Object with www.mydomain.com for the HTML5 VPN Connection, then make sure that this name is also in the certificate. Additionally, if you insist on using a Host-object instead of a DNS-Host-object, make sure that your self signed certificate contains that IP address as a "Subject Alternative Name" to avoid the certificate warning in the portal-browser.

    Browser cache:
    Currently we are using sticky path descriptions for the HTML objects.
    Please make sure that you clear your Browser cache (manually or via CTRL+R) after you've updated the UTM build version.

     Description: HTML5 VPN Webapps: Popups are disabled

    As of now, popups are blocked by the internal Firefox. The user will be informed when blocking has taken place.
    Workaround : HTML5 VPN Webapps: Popups are disabled

    [SIZE="3"] [20926] - HTML5 VPN: Websocket error when accessing User Portal via HTTPS proxy  [/SIZE][SIZE="2"]

     Description: When the HTML5 VPN portal is accessed via a HTTP proxy that intercepts SSL
    connections, the HTML5 VPN portal doesn't work. The user gets a popup error
    message "Websocket Error".
    Workaround : You can only work-around this issue on the HTTP proxy side. If the HTTP proxy
    is under your control, you need to configure a SSL interception bypass for
    the address of the HTML5 VPN portal.

    [SIZE="3"] [20540] - Dashbord reload flickers on Google Chrome  [/SIZE][SIZE="2"]

     Description: There's a short flicker at every reload of the dashboard when  using the Google Chrome Webbrowser on machines with an ATI graphics card, probably caused by Chromes hardware acceleration.
