forward first;hard coded in it. I used to change the named.conf-default file and use
forward only;
option but now I have to change the named.conf file and that changes every time the dns server is restarted.
Is there a way that we can get a switch in webadmin where we have the option to choose forward only if needed.
There are multiple scenarios where you wouldn't want to use forward first. For example if astaro is not your edge firewall, you might already have an internal DNS server being used as a forwarder in astaro but astaro will still query root servers. Also, lets say you are blocking things using open dns or similar service, a small hiccup in the connectivity would cause the dns server to query the root servers and fulfill the query.
