Need help and suggestion for Safeguard migration v6.00.1.31 to v8.x

Hello,

We are planning to upgrade Safeguard server from version 6.00.1.31 version to 8.x.

Current setup having Windows 2003 server with Safeguard management on 6.00.1.31 version with Disk Encryption and Removable media encryption.

I never tried this kind of upgrade, so can you please suggest best way to upgrade-migrate to new set of server platform - Windows 2012 R2.

All client systems with Win7 and little on Win10, so most concern over Win7 systems.

    Thank you Bob, it's really helpful.

    I still have question for Client upgrade.

    So if we upgrade the Safeguard Server to 6.10 and then to v8 then what about client upgrade.

    I think that should be done in phases like 6.00.1.31 To 6.10 and then to version 8. so again I have to wait for all client upgrade to 6.10 and then only I can initiate upgrade for version 8.

    Correct me if I am wrong..

    Below is from the previous link, I believe it answers your question.

    The following components are upgraded during an upgrade to the latest version of SafeGuard Enterprise. Carry out the upgrade in the order shown below:

    1. SafeGuard Enterprise Server
    2. SafeGuard Management Center
    3. SafeGuard Enterprise protected endpoints
    4. SafeGuard Enterprise configuration packages
    5. SafeGuard Enterprise Web Helpdesk
