Windows 10 Drive Encryption

I am currently using Sophos Safeguard v8.00.0.251 and am receiving the following message..

Windows 10 1709 x64

HP EliteBook  850 G4

Bitlocker Could Not Be Enabled

"The Bitlocker encryption key cannot be obtained from the TPM Module."

The following are true

  • Resides in the correct GPO to receive the encrypt policy
  • Is synced with the Sophos management console
  • User is registered as owner
  • User has current certificate
  • All data packets have been sent successfully
  • Policy received, key, cert and server contact status are current
  • 500 md partition on drive

I have tried;

  • Uninstalling the program
  • Clearing TPM
  • Updated BIOS
  • Searched for any TPM firmware updates

  • I had the same problem.

Sophos was unable to activate Bitlocker. (same reason .. TPM)

I also cleared TPM and activated Bitlocker with Windows (right click on drive in file explorer)

after a restart sophos kicked in with our konfigured ruleset.

all fine now. worked on every machine so far that had THIS problem.

    regards kai
