Syscall exploit

We have some systems here when Microsoft Office applications or Internet Exporer are opened there us a message that states from Sohos: Syscall exploit prevented in Microsoft, Excel, Word, internet explorer, etc. Then the program does not open. Sophos does not find any threats. We recently upgraded to 10.8.12 and we had no issue previously.  I was able to open the file on another system. This happens on multiple systems, any help would be appreciated.

  • Can you post the Event log details.  In the Application Event log, there is a 911 (event ID) from 2 different computers for this alert?

If you don't have access to the computer, you should be able to get the same info from Central.  Under the Computer details, events page for a couple of the computers.  Is there a "details" link on the right? If so, click on that and then click show raw data.

    Regards,
    Jak
