endpoint update to version 10.8

all the endpoint in my network just updated to version 10.8 at the same time resulting in congestion in my whole network.

this is a major update as a restart of the windows machine is required.

i am using enterprise console 5.5.0.

how do i staggered the updates so that it wont choke my bandwidth.

Hello yeowkm,

all the online endpoints should already have downloaded the new version - or do the downloads fail due to congestion (of your LAN?)?
You'd have to use an additional subscription and policies which you could then assign group by group.

it started updating since 2.5 hrs ago and in the final stage, i even lose connection of my sophos EC server.

but by this time, it has updated most of the endpoints.

i need to restart the server.

Hello yeowkm,

i need to restart the server
this is not your first major update, is it? It doesn't really require an immediate restart - neither the Endpoint (AV) software nor the server/SEC are adversely affected by the update.
