Swap usage on LINUX client machines

Dear Team,

Recently I'm receiving more alerts on LINUX machines regarding SWAP Usage. This happens after the installation Sophos client on LINUX machines. We have 512 MB for SWAP space.

Please help me to get the minimum requirements required for LINUX clients machines for Sophos installation.

Thanks & Regards

Rakesh NV

  • Hello Rakesh NV,

can't access the corresponding article (seems to redirect to the Retirement calendar and anyway you'll likely not get a swap recommendation). For Unix minimum recommended memory is 512M, guess it's about the same for Linux. Naturally if memory was already scarce before installing Sophos you'll encounter issues.
Do all machines have these problems or only some, what's their RAM?
