Sophos Cloud full installer

So when I download the full install from my cloud portal, it is only 1417kb.  When you run it, it downloads from the cloud the rest of the binaries and installs.  Question is, can I actually download the "full" install files?  I have multiple sites that have small internet connections.  I'd like to be able to fully stage the installs on the sccm dp's and the clients not have to have to reach out over the wan or internet.  Can this be done?

    I realize the installer is building that relationship with the cloud management when it installs but it seems that we could provide an ini file or some switches or something to make sure its points and builds that relationship.  It shouldn't require the download of the binaries.

    Hello ClintWeldon,

    this is a question related to Central and you should perhaps better ask there.
    There's no longer a full installer, but the new installer supports installation from a cache. Please see the FAQs.

    thanks, found what I needed.  We can install update caches.  The initial install can be done from those, not like the on-prem.  This is an improvement.

    Is it possible to create a full version of installer as it was possible with the old one?

    With the new installer you will NOT be able to create a full installer. To save bandwidth during the deployment, Sophos suggests to use Update Caches in the environment as the new installer now supports initial installation from cache.

    I have solution and i tested it works for me.

     

    Step 1:

     

    Install your choice (CEA or CEA + CIX) on one machine using SophosSetup.exe and let installation complete successfully.

     

    Step 2:

     

    1. CEA :
      1. On machine where Sophos Central Endpoint Advanced and Sophos Central Intercept X is properly installed, go to :
      2. C:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\data\warehouse\ <- This should be about 400 Mb in size.
      3. Copy all the content (Ctrl + A) and paste it in below path on NEW MACHINE where you want to install Sophos. You will have to create below path manually :
      4. C:\ProgramData\Sophos\CloudInstaller\AutoUpdatePreparation\data\Warehouse\

     

    1. CEA + CIX :
      1. On machine where Sophos Central Endpoint Advanced and Sophos Central Intercept X is properly installed, go to :
      2. C:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\data\warehouse\ <- This should be about 400 Mb in size.
      3. Copy all the content (Ctrl + A) and paste it in below path on NEW MACHINE where you want to install Sophos. You will have to create below path manually :
      4. C:\ProgramData\Sophos\CloudInstaller\AutoUpdatePreparation\data\Warehouse\
      5. On installed machine, go to :
      6. C:\ProgramData\HitmanPro.Alert\

     

    Copy all the content (Ctrl + A) and paste it in below path on NEW MACHINE where you want to install Sophos. You will have to create below path manually :

    C:\ProgramData\Sophos\CloudInstaller\AutoUpdatePreparation\Cache\decoded\

     

    Step 3:

     

    Once above paths have been created and respective content copied to it, run installer SophosSetup.exe.

    If everything goes correctly, SophosInstaller will not download 400+ Mb data from Central, it will only download any new signatures that it finds and other folders and services will be created.

     

    If it works fine, complete installation should be finished in 5 minutes.

     

    Note: All folder names are case sensitive. Try and copy-paste rather than manually typing. If there is any typo error offline installation will not work.
